Pound It Hip Hop Studios was founded with a passion for dance and a vision to create a vibrant community where creativity, rhythm, and self-expression collide. It all started with a small group of dedicated dancers who wanted to share their love for hip hop culture and movement. With determination and a dream, they transformed their passion into a dynamic space where aspiring dancers of all ages could come together, connect, learn, and grow.

From humble beginnings, Pound It Hip Hop Studios has evolved into a hub for dance enthusiasts, fostering a supportive and inspiring environment. Our mission is simple: to empower individuals through dance, helping them unlock their full potential while embracing the joy of movement.

At Pound It, we believe that dance is more than just choreography—it's a form of self-expression and a journey of self-discovery. Our goal is to nurture talent, build confidence, and inspire creativity. We are dedicated to pushing the boundaries of hip hop dance by providing top-notch training, innovative choreography, and opportunities to showcase talent.

Allen Collado is an accomplished dance educator, choreographer, and performer with over nine years of teaching experience. Specializing in Hip Hop, House, choreography, and freestyle, Allen has taught and performed across Canada and internationally, sharing his passion for street dance culture in countries including Denmark, Mexico, and Qatar. He is the Co-Owner and Co-Director of The Masses in Calgary, Artist Avenue, and Street Dance Syllabus in Okotoks, where he continues to shape the next generation of dancers through education, mentorship, and artistic development. Allen’s guest teaching credits include internationally recognized studios such as Beat Fabrikken (Denmark),Originals MX(Mexico),Vault Studio(Qatar),Rhythm 2 Dance(Toronto), and Flava Factory(Ottawa). He has also led workshops and residencies at numerous high schools, using movement and culture as tools to inspireand empower youth.As a choreographer, Allen’s work has been featured in projects for artists includingEthan CybrilandLovesick. Known for his dynamic movement quality, deep cultural knowledge, and engaging teachingapproach, Allen encourages dancers of all levels to move with confidence, authenticity, and individuality.He believes in lifelong learning and artistic exploration, guiding students to become artists in their own right.
